ESINAM and Sibusile Xaba is a meeting of nomadic, wandering and kindred spirits in music. Blending Ghanaian highlife, cosmic gospel, analogue trance and infectious positivity, they are the missing link between Fela Kuti and Ibeyi.

Both artists draw upon their ancestry—ESINAM (Belgian-Ghanaian) and Sibusile Xaba (Kwazulu Natal, South Africa)—through a unique connection. They use deep artistic and spiritual levels, employing rhythms and grooves to translate stories.

This project started in Johannesburg in 2023, so the duo is super excited to be coming back to South Africa as part of their “Healing Voices Africa Tour”. Don’t miss their performance at the Commons on Sunday 24 May.
