Neil Young released the ‘Harvest’ album in February 1972 and Akkedis Band was formed in 1998. The band is 25 years young, has had seven studio albums and has toured England, Germany, Namibia and Mozambique. Their albums are mostly Afrikaans rock and blues with African rhythms – Neil Young, Johnny Clegg and Piet Botha have been major influences on the band.

Arthur Dennis is on lead guitar, harmonica and vocals. Adrian John Graham is on bass guitar, and Rudolph Dennis on piano, acoustic guitar and drums/percussion.

On its 53rd anniversary, Akkedis will be performing the whole album and more Neil Young favourites at café Roux!
