The Cape Town Concert Series presents a season of concerts focused around its Steinway Grand Piano – which turns 65 this year and is considered one of the finest recital pianos in the country. The 2026 International Series opens with British pianist Alexander Ullman.

Twice winner of the Liszt International piano competition, Alex will present a programme of Liszt and Grieg. The concert starts at 11am in the Baxter Concert Hall, as the perfect start to the weekend.

The Baxter restaurant and bar are open before and after the concert and you are welcome to take your drinks into the hall to enjoy with the music. The concert is supported by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Ian Burgess-Simpson Pianos and the Rupert Foundation.
