About American Doctor Screening

AMERICAN DOCTOR — Film Screening & Humanitarian Fundraiser

Come for the film. Stay for the cause.

Join Sharing Hope Foundation in collaboration with Mothers4Gaza, for a special screening of American Doctor at the Nassau Theatre on Saturday, 14 November, as we come together for an afternoon of film, reflection, community and humanitarian action.

American Doctor takes us into Gaza through the experiences of American doctors working on the frontlines of a devastating humanitarian crisis. The documentary offers a deeply human perspective on the realities faced by healthcare workers and patients, and the courage, compassion and commitment required to continue providing medical care in extraordinary circumstances.

Your R60 donation helps support the ongoing humanitarian work of the Sharing Hope Foundation.

EVENT PROGRAMME

2:00pm — Doors Open

Come early, browse, shop and enjoy some delicious food while supporting our fundraising efforts. Boeries, samoosas and other snacks and treats will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting our humanitarian work and our fundraising efforts for the Noor al Ilm School formerly known as Khaled Bin Waleed School in Khan Younis, Gaza.

3:10pm — Introduction & Film Screening

We’ll begin with a short introduction before screening American Doctor.

4:40pm — Film Ends

4:50pm – Panel Discussion

We encourage you to stay afterwards, continue engaging with us and, if you are able, make an additional contribution towards supporting the school and our humanitarian efforts.

WHY JOIN US?

Because solidarity should be more than a statement.

It can be a donation towards humanitarian work.

It can be a meal shared with your community.

It can be a donation towards a school.

It can be learning, reflecting and choosing to care.

Together, we can turn an afternoon at the cinema into something that makes a difference.
