The Armchair Theatre presents a night of surf, psych and indie rock.

On the line up we have a diverse set of bands ready to bring you an unforgettable night of music.

The first band on the line up are an up and coming band that blend elements of indie, jazz, and psychedelic rock, journeying from the smooth and soulful to gritty and hard hitting. Their style seems to mimic the cadence of life itself.

Second we have Krakatoa, who pride themselves on being the longest running surf rock band in Cape Town. Their reverb soaked surf rock sound will transport you straight to the 60’s, playing classics like Miserlou, Surf rider and Wipeout.

The final act on the line up is a newly formed Cape Town based band called the Black Nails, with members Damian Le Sar (guitar, vox), Tal Bruce (drums), Gareth Dawson (guitar) and Janco Yspeert (Bass). Their sound feels like 1950’s prom dreamt by David Lynch – slow dance in flickering gymnasium lights, tremolo guitars dissolving into reverb, voices drifting through static and smoke.
