
Join us at The Commons for a screening of the South African film, Black Burns Fast, followed by a panel discussion with cast and crew on the importance of black, queer narratives!
Door tickets will be sold for R150 if available! The Commons is open all day, so arrive early for a bite to eat from their delicious kitchen or grab a drink before the screening begins at 19:30. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Directors Assistant Yana Abrahams, and cast members Esihle Ndleleni, Muadi Ilung, Mila Smith and Ntsimedi Gwangwa on the importance of black, queer narratives!
The panel will be facilitated by Tsepang Mathiba, a Johannesburg-based writer, cultural reporter and storyteller whose work explores identity, intimacy, gender and the complexities of being Black in contemporary South Africa.
There will also be Black Burns Fast merch on sale so that you can leave with the likes of a cute badge/sticker, and further support this incredible team!
