The Cape Town Marimba Festival is a joint venture between the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival and Woodworx Marimbas. The Marimba Festival is an annual event and has been showcasing marimbas at the Baxter Concert Hall since 2009.

Woodworx Marimbas is a provider of African Marimba tuition, as well as professional Marimba Band performances, which perform throughout Cape Town. The following marimba groups will be performing: Parklands College, Cannons Creek, Mount View High School, Pinelands High, Forres, Micklefield, Music Works, St Cyprian’s, Seamount, SACS High, Springfield, Livingstone, Marimba Jam Bands, Grove Primary, KMA, Rustenburg Girl’s Junior, DSK, Groote Schuur High School, Hoërskool Stellenberg.

We are pleased to host the Marimba Festival in collaboration with the South African College of Music and the Baxter Theatre.
