Somewhere between sunset and the first spark of night, something is stirring. We’re raising the lanterns for Chakana, a sanctuary we’re bringing to life at AfrikaBurn 2026 — carpets in the dust, music in the air, and strangers becoming friends beneath the desert sky.

This gathering is part celebration, part conspiracy of dreamers.
