Come to be absorbed, enveloped and consumed by sound: tune in on Saturday the 20th of December for an audiovisual dream of South African drone.

The night will feature a screening and discussion of “A Different Kind of Time”, an experimental music documentary by Justin Keep which delves into the wide spectrum of drones and how sound artists in our country approach creating them. The event will be accompanied by performances by both Cape Townian and Johannesburg artists featured in the doc including Botanicas, hAsHtAgBlAcK.n.o.i.s.e, Lliezel Ellick, Garth Erasmus, Chantelle Gray & Aragorn Eloff.

Ranging across electronic hums and buzzes, botanical hisses and groans, acoustic echoes and whirrs, this is a night dedicated to listening closely and being encapsulated in sound.
