For this experience, we will have two guitarists from creative ends of the guitar spectrum guiding us through an adventurous odyssey into the string world.

This particular night can also be imagined as an intergenerational showcase of two artists exploring the uniqueness of two complementary art forms that continue to evolve and shape the world of music.

From Contemporary Jazz to the Blues, Dylan Fine and Albert Frost will elegantly be holding this space.

Opening the night is Dylan Fine’s Quintet:
– Drawing from a diverse spectrum of genres under the umbrella of contemporary jazz, Dylan will share both brand-new and released compositions (the latter available on his 2024 debut release *River Wide*).
– The Quintet features Keegan Steenkamp on trumpet, Lonwabo Mafani on keys, Angus Hardcastle on bass, and Kurt Bowers on drums.
– The Commons Festival will mark the first time the original album line-up will perform together since recording *River Wide*.

Expect beautiful interplay and improvisations underpinned by a strong melodic foundation.
