Friday Night Live is a series of beautiful, intimate performances from some of the most exciting talent Cape Town and South Africa has to offer, hosted at the KAYA Café.

It was February 2024 and five musicians gathered in the living room. Brought together through friendship and the love of playing, DreamEATER is a 5-piece collective comprised of vocals, guitar, bass, saxophone, flute, percussion, and drum kit. Drawing from soft rock, indie folk, and delta blues, their genre-bending sound is difficult to define.

DreamEATER’s original songs seek to tell stories, evoke emotions and inspire inhibition while their covers showcase that unique DreamEATER twist. Some songs will take you on a journey, others will make you stand up and boogie like nobody’s watching. Their set has something for everyone – come through to party with them!
