Fynbos film screening ‘Girls Can’t Surf’ presented by Her Surf Spirit

Join us for a night to celebrate women’s surfing!

‘Girls Can’t Surf’ film is an inspiring documentary about a group of female surfers in the 1980s and 1990s who challenged the male-dominated field of professional surfing, with a shared goal and dream of equity and change.

Today we see equal pay in surfing, but it’s thanks to the group of women featured in this film that surfing is where it is today. Whether you are a surf girl, surf boy, surf fan or sport lover this film is set to inspire! Bring your friends along for a surf night you won’t forget.

Doors open at 18h00 and the show will commence at 19h00.

THINGS TO KNOW:

* Please arrive on time – no entry is allowed after the show starts. Latecomers will be admitted at interval only.

* Children must have their own seat – no sitting on laps.

* No outside food or drinks are allowed. Refreshments are available for purchase inside.

* You’re welcome to take food and drinks into the theatre, but please return your glasses to the bar afterward.

* No flash photography or videography is permitted during the performance.

* Free secure parking is available just 50 meters past the theatre (next to the Woodshop). The lot closes 30 minutes after the show ends. Please avoid parking in residential roads to keep access clear for local residents.

* Disabled parking is available on request. Please email admin@themasque.co.za.

* Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
