HALLELUJAH ANYWAY

DANCING AT THE THRESHOLD

Saturday, 31 October 2026

Merchant & Maker, Kommetjie

From 7pm till late

Behind Halloween lies an older idea: that there are moments when the boundary between worlds grows thin.

When the living remember the dead. When we draw a little closer to mystery. When we remember that death is not the opposite of life, but part of its rhythm.

On Saturday, 31 October, we gather at that threshold.

Between the seen and the unseen. The old and the new. What has passed, and what is waiting to be born.

We dress as creatures, spirits, ancestors, gods, fools and ghosts.

We honour what has been and we celebrate what is coming alive. We remember that everything we love is temporary – and that this is precisely what makes it precious.

And so, we dance and celebrate life in the presence of death.

Hallelujah anyway!
