More on the Artists:

Jade Olivia is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter and indie-alternative artist based in Cape Town. Blending playful vulnerability with dreamy pop textures, her music explores the emotional grey areas of being human, the moments that feel tender, nostalgic, messy, and beautifully ordinary.

When it’s hard to sit with things and hold them in the palm of your hands, Jade puts them into songs. What often sound like love songs are really explorations of the emotions in between. The anxiety before the moment, the habits we return to, the shying away from love, the slow unravelling of identity as we grow older.

Rooted in acoustic warmth and shaped by soft, striking vocals, her sound weaves intimate songwriting with subtle indie textures and a natural gift for playful, emotive melody. Modern yet nostalgic, familiar yet deeply personal.

Her debut EP “The Tide” is a quiet invitation to feel it all. At its heart, her music is about making space for reflection and finding connection in the honest, imperfect moments we often overlook.

Dan Gregory is a Cape Town-based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose instrumental work has built him a reputation for music that’s warm, groovy, and nostalgic. But before the productions and the releases, there were songs and stories to go with them. On this night at Alma Cafe, he returns to that first love.

The songs come from For However Long Forever Feels, his upcoming album and most personal work to date. Rooted in deconstructed soul, it’s a record built around a quietly urgent question: if memory is what makes us who we are, what happens to a person as those memories shift, fade, or change shape? It moves through loss, nostalgia, and identity, through the different versions of yourself that live inside moments you’re still trying to hold onto.

A night like this, in a room like this, is exactly where these songs belong. Stripped of everything they don’t need, they arrive as dreamy vocals, silky guitar lines, and the kind of lyrical intimacy that only works when everyone in the room is paying attention. Dan will play the songs and tell the stories behind them. Where they came from, what they cost, what they’re about. It’s the kind of performance that makes you go quiet without meaning to.
