Nick Ford is a composer and bassist from Cape Town. He has performed extensively on the Cape Town jazz scene, and has gained a following both as a sideman and a band leader.

As a leader, Ford has released several EP’s, and his debut album “Terra Solus” was released in January of 2024 to wide acclaim, including several Mzantsi Jazz Awards nominations and a South African Music Award nomination for Best Jazz Album.

In this performance, Ford will perform a selection of original music and tributes to great jazz compositions with his band, showcasing his unique and sought-after sound and approach to music. The band features Nick Ford on bass, Reza Khota on guitar, Jonno Sweetman on drums, Adam Powell on piano, and Heinrich Frans on vocals.
