Keanan Eksteen and his band are a vibrant rock and roll group from Cape Town, South Africa. With their energetic performances and compelling stage presence, they’ve been steadily making their mark, both locally and in Europe, blending classic and modern rock influences into a style that’s distinctly their own.
Since forming in 2021, the band has been carving out a space in the rock scene, crafting music that pays homage to legendary rock sounds while adding a contemporary edge. Their passion for what they do is evident in every performance and every song they produce, resonating with fans across generations.
In just over two years, Keanan and the band have achieved impressive milestones, including three European tours. The first, a solo acoustic tour, introduced Keanan’s talent to intimate audiences across iconic cities. The second, with the full band, saw them performing to increasingly larger crowds. Their most recent tour included a co-headlining performance alongside Grammy winners Arrested Development at Sommer in Der Stad, marking their biggest show to date.
Keanan has also ventured into solo collaborations, performing with international EDM duo Goldfish at the sold-out Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of Cape Town’s premier live music venues.
Over the years, he has shared stages with some of South Africa’s most celebrated artists, including Jeremy Loops, Aking, Fokofpolisiekar, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Spoegwolf, and Ard Matthews, solidifying his reputation in the local music scene.
The band’s discography includes the EP Forever, the album Golden Fever, and a series of singles, with four reaching number-one positions on the radio charts. Their single “Dixie Clouds” has been particularly well-received, with its music video recently surpassing half a million views, a testament to their growing popularity and audience connection.
Whether in cozy venues or on festival stages, their live shows are filled with energy and connection, creating memorable experiences for all in attendance. With a growing fanbase and new music on the horizon, Keanan Eksteen and his band are gearing up for an exciting future, ready to continue their journey in both the South African and international rock scenes.
