Letters to a Young Artist — Angelah Stuurman x Tanika Paschke-Moloi
Who were you before the world told you what you could and couldn’t be?
Somewhere inside each of us lives an artist — the younger, wilder self who once met the world with unfiltered wonder. Colour. Sound. Light. Texture. Taste. Those who keep this magic alive become artists. The rest of us spend our lives trying to find our way back to it.
Letters to a Young Artist is an immersive evening of music and storytelling by Angelah Stuurman and Tanika Paschke-Moloi, presented alongside the Bijou Project Space Group Exhibition in the lead-up to the December Open Studios programme.
Held in a space surrounded by artworks shaped by truth and introspection, Angelah and Tanika add another layer to this collective conversation — offering their own truths through story and song.
Raw, honest, and quietly transformative, the performance invites the audience to sit with the value and nature of art itself — and, perhaps, to reopen the door to their own inner artist waiting to be remembered.
