About Make Muck Zine Launch Party

Join MAKE MUCK ZINE for the launch of their inaugural zine (a real-life printed publication), with contributors reading their pieces straight from the page!

MAKE MUCK ZINE is a slow-burn South African publication showcasing makers from all corners of the creative world, from poets and prose writers to cartoonists, musicians, jewellery makers, collagists, and more. It’s a space for creatives to get deep, down and dirty.

In celebration of the very first print run, the team invites everyone to join the festivities. Expect a night of zany fun and quirky chaos as the writers, musicians, and performers share their work from the zine, followed by an OPEN MIC. This means you can share your own messy making—whether you’re a comedian, musician, poet, flash-fictionist, juggler, or magician (contortionists might be pushing it).

This is a welcoming and light-hearted community of creatives who just want to bask in the juices and jingle of each other! Come or be square, as the old maxim goes. Check out @makemuckzine on Instagram for more.
