MOM GENES ~ a lunch for moms by moms. This is a day about every kind of mom, those who are here and the ones who aren’t, the ones who look out for and look after children, gardens, houses, animals, communities.

It’s about more than just what their hands do, or who they feed or what they’ve survived, but about honouring their ideas, their soft and hard bits, their humanity, humour, wisdom, recognizing their little girl-ness, joys, playfulness, sternness, the secrets they’ve had to keep and the vulnerabilities they’ve shared.

I’m compiling a sharing menu of dishes from 7 of my favorite moms, dishes they’ve cooked a lot and adapting them only a little. We’ll be at one_park_cpt on the 30th of May. Bring your mom – I bet she’ll love this.

P.S: EVERYONE is welcome – all ages, all genders (in case that wasn’t clear).
