About ROCCO & COENIE DE VILLIERS 88

A piano has 88 keys, but even two pianos on one stage are not enough for the fast fingers of these two South African piano legends. Audiences have asked, and Rocco de Villiers and Coenie de Villiers have listened. These two Villiers combine their formidable forces for the very first time in this debut collaboration. They are joined on stage by South Africa’s guitar maestro, Mauritz Lotz.

The repertoire ranges from boeremusiek to Bach, from the blues to ballads. There are old hits dressed in fresh interpretations, new compositions written specifically for this production, and – wait for it! – brand new word art from the pens of both artists. Their styles differ, but they share one great love for music.

Rocco de Villiers: Piano and keyboards
Coenie de Villiers: Piano and keyboards
