Join us for a creative, ocean-inspired pottery workshop where little makers will explore clay through play, texture, and imagination. This 2-part sensory workshop is designed for kids aged 5-12.
Using ocean treasures, like seaweed and shells as natural stamps, children will create their own Under the Sea themed clay creations while enjoying a fun and tactile experience that celebrates our ocean.
This workshop takes place over two sessions:
– 07 July | 10:00–11:30: This session focuses on creating and decorating the piece.
– 14 July | 10:00–11:30: The second session is dedicated to painting and finishing the project worked on in the first session.
Both sessions are recommended to complete the project.
5 Reasons why playing with clay is good for kids:
– Playing with clay builds fine motor skills
– Clay encourages creativity and confidence
– Clay teaches problem solving, by practicing the ability to adjust and figure things out as they go
– Clay improves attention span by bringing calm and focus, and helps build patience
– Clay helps build emotional resilience. Kids learn that mistakes can be rebuilt and turned into something new
If you are only able to attend one session, we will create and decorate the clay without painting. The piece will still be glazed and fired by us.
All materials, clay, glazing and firing are included. When the piece has been fired, you will be notified to collect and bring home the finished piece.
Suitable for children aged 5-12, of all skill levels. The workshop will be facilitated by two experienced teachers, ensuring each child receives plenty of guidance and support throughout the session. Parents are welcome to stay during the workshop, however space inside the studio is limited. Alternatively, you’re welcome to drop your child off, run a few errands, and return for collection at 11:30.
