SkallaBrak live by Triggerfish Brewing

SkallaBrak celebrates 25 years with a big party at Triggerfish Brewing Co. in Paardevlei, Somerset West – 18 April 2026.

SkallaBrak turns 25 this year and plans a series of special performances to mark this milestone. The kickoff takes place on 18 April 2026 at Triggerfish Brewery in the heart of the Helderberg, where the band will perform 25 years of songs. Get ready for one heck of a party. Old, but not cold!

SkallaBrak is an original Afrikaans rock group founded in 2001 in London, UK. Hendrik Brakwater and Skallamari fueled legendary house concerts in the English capital and have been bringing progressive Afrikaans music to life from the start with hits like X-Files, Mooi van kleins af, Sandveld Boertjie, and Gatvol.

The day after the 9/11 terrorist attack, Hendrik convinced Skallamari to pack their bags and return to South Africa with the words: “I don’t want to die here!” Besides the nostalgia of old favorites, SkallaBrak is also looking ahead with new energy and fresh additions to their live setup.
