A Wildly Fun Easter Event for Kiddies From 4 – 9 Years Old!
Looking for something egg-stra special to do with the kids this Easter? Bring your kiddies and join Volunteer Wildfire Services for a morning of adventure, laughter, and community fun at our Kiddies Easter Adventure!

This exciting, interactive event is packed with fire-themed Easter activities where kids become little heroes — all while learning about the brave work our VWS firefighters do!

Here’s what’s waiting for your little adventurers:
5 Action-Packed Activity Stations – Each child receives an activity card at registration and earns a stamp for every completed challenge. Once their card is full, they’ll be rewarded with a special Easter tin filled with delicious eggs!

STATION 1: Hose Down
Use a real fire hose (with help from a friendly firefighter) to knock down painted “flames” and learn how to put out a blaze!

STATION 2: Rakehoe Egg Rescue
Grab a mini rakehoe and dig through beds of straw to uncover hidden, colourful plastic Easter eggs!

STATION 3: Fire Hydrant Toss
Take aim and toss hoops over a real fire hydrant — fun and fire-themed!

STATION 4: Fiery Egg & Spoon Obstacle Course
Balance your egg (a decorated stone) on a spoon as you dodge flames, cross beams, and conquer a mini obstacle course.

STATION 5: Kit Out Bunny Ash
Wearing blackout goggles, kids must try to dress our oversized cardboard bunny in full firefighter gear — helmet, flash hood and goggles — all by feel!

– Take a photo with a real VWS firefighter
– Climb into our VWS fire truck
– Say hi to the Easter Bunny — our own fluffy fire-fighting friend, Bunny Ash, will be hopping around handing out treats!
– Guess How Many Eggs are in the jar for a chance to win a prize (R5 per guess — all proceeds go to VWS!)
– Don’t forget to come dressed as a firefighter… you can win a prize if you are the best firefighter there!

Every guess, every egg, every laugh helps keep our firefighters ready and our mountains safe.
