Straight Eight Dance Battle is an invitational all-round dance battle.

This event features a unique format with one last chance spot decided by a prelim showcase to complete the final 8 competitors. The 8 dancers are split into two groups of 4 (Group A and Group B), where all dancers battle one another once in their respective groups.

Battles are judged per round with the following scoring:
– 3 points per round won
– 1 point per round tied

After the group phase, the 4 dancers with the highest tally advance to the semi-final. The semi-final is seeded, meaning the two highest-ranked dancers battle the two lowest-ranked (1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd). Each semi-final battle consists of 2 rounds, while the final battle has 4 rounds.
