THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

Audience Participation Screening

> While the show is sadly sold out, you can still catch another Horrorfest highlight of a live soundtrack performance for the classic silent film FAUST , on Halloween night! (+ the festival’s dress-up occasion)

Details at: https://www.quicket.co.za/events/389114-faust-100th-anniversary-makabra-ensemble-live-soundtrack-performance/

Sadly Tim Curry, the one and only Dr. Frank ‘n Furter passed away in August (on the same day as Dolly Parton, both hitting the 80 year mark).

So we will celebrate this legend at this audience participation screening of the movie that couldn’t have been made without him.

Since 1975, the cult classic musical film the Rocky Horror Picture Show has thrilled audiences around the globe. Still as irresistibly fun and fresh as always, the phenomenon is still going strong after half a century. Join us at the 22nd annual HORRORFEST to put some fun back into Halloween weekend for this special audience participation screening (the best, if not only way to experience the movie!), on Friday night, 30 October.

> We’re looking at making some Rocky Horror T-shirts and possibly other merch options available to pre-order here and / or at the screening – stay tuned!)

TRAILER:

The rousing party atmosphere of this gem will light up the Labia Theatre, the audience encouraged to arrive dressed as any of the Rocky Horror characters, or anything wild, exotic, crazy, or Halloween-related. The HORRORFEST’s main Halloween dress-up event will be linked to THE MAKABRA ENSEMBLE live silent film soundtrack performance on Halloween night (Sat 31 Oct), but we will also pick out some great looks at ROCKY HORROR with prizes for the best outfits / costumes / make-up.

For those not bringing their own, or those unaware of all the extras that accompany the audience participation (from slices of toast, rice, newspapers, rubber gloves, playing cards etc.) The LoveCraft Experiment / Love In Vein will have a stall outside the cinema where you can purchase participation packs. Horrorfest merch including T-shirts, DVDs and books will also be available.

The Labia Theatre is a licensed venue and drinks can be taken into the cinema.

The full HORRORFEST 2026 LINE-UP at The LABIA Theatre (28 Oct – 8 Nov) will be updated at:
