X-POSE Erotic Celebration

About the Event

X-POSE: a celebration of eros by Bodacious with South Pole & Raunchy Renditions. Join us for a night of x-ploration, x-pression and x-position!

Expect hot performances, interactive rooms, k!nk booths, a fire lineup of incredible femme DJs, and a market of tantalising brands & their products!

Details:
Time: 20:00-02:00
Place: Roxy Woodstock
Theme: X-Pose – show off the parts of you that you don’t get to show off enough!
X-CODE: Please ensure you read through our House Rules and Safety & Comfort Protocols found below before purchasing your tickets! You will have to consent to having read & understood them to purchase.

Entertainment/Activities:
• Bodacious Booths (explore rope bondage, wax play, sensory play & impact play with experienced practitioners)
• Pole & Aerial Silk Performances & demos by South Pole
• The Raunchy Room by Raunchy Renditions: interactive activities, games & a Raunchy Renditions confessional to spill your sexy secrets (with prizes to be won)
• DJ Lineup: 3x incredible DJ’s who have been lighting the Cape Town scene on fire
• The X-Change: Brands & vendors from around the world of eros, sexual health & expression. Come stock up for your sexiest year yet!

In a world that still feels structured for those who fit within a ‘normative’ society, we are passionate about disrupting stigmas & taboos around sexual empowerment, different relationships/dynamics & erotic expression, & empowering self-love, self-expression & self-acceptance. To X-POSE (expose) is to challenge social norms: In some contexts, particularly within counter-culture or artistic movements, “expose” can be seen as a rebellious act—the shedding of inhibitions or the bringing to light of things that society wants to keep hidden. This is where you get a sense of “freedom” or “unmasking”. We feel there is a need for more eros- and erotic arts-aligned events in Cape Town that are not purely focused on the rave elements of ‘sex party’ culture, but rather intentionally curated experiences that are simultaneously sexy and safe, in a way that builds an empowered, educated and conscious experience.

Important Notes:
1. Please ensure that you have read through and fully understood our House Rules (found below) before purchasing your ticket. Any violation of the House Rules may lead to your immediate expulsion from the event with no refund, blacklisting from all future X-Series events, and/or further prosecution.
2. We will have detailed Safety & Comfort Protocols that will be communicated on social media in advance, sent to all ticket holders leading up to the event, and displayed at the door, ticketing check-in and throughout the venue.
3. Whilst this event aims to encourage exploration & new experiences, it is not a play party, nor will any frontal nudity be permitted. We are gender-neutrally shirtless-friendly.
4. Upon arrival you will need to check in with your ticket, a physical form of legal ID that matches the details on your ticket, and sign an acknowledgement form confirming that you have read, understood and will abide by all House Rules & Safety & Comfort protocols.
5. If you are buying tickets for multiple people, please ensure that you input unique and accurate names & ID numbers for each individual. Duplicate tickets may not be used for other individuals. Entrance will only be permitted if the name and ID # on the ticket match the name and ID #.
6. This is a femme- and queer-focused space, and so the safety of those people is of paramount importance to our team.

House Rules:
Safety:
• This event is strictly for people 21 and older.
• We are committed to creating a space for free expression & openness that’s safe, respectful, and consensual. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please talk to the Safety & Comfort Team.

• We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate intoxicated behaviour. If your behaviour becomes disruptive, you will be asked to leave without a refund.
• To ensure accountability to this, as above we will be collecting ID numbers (partial – first 10 digits) & full names. Safety & Comfort (S&C) Protocols:
We want to make sure that everyone has as good a time as possible, but feeling good, free, and wild comes from feeling safe, comfortable & secure! If you’re not going to be a problem, you won’t have a problem with any of these.

• Venue Security will conduct ID age checks, as well as a standard bag check and pat for forbidden items (weapons, sharp objects and all liquids).

Ticketing Checkpoint:
• Safety & Comfort Protocols and House Rules Posters at ticketing checkpoint.
• A Safety & Comfort Team Member will scan your ticket, confirm ID match to your ticket, and assist you in the signing of our Acknowledgement of House Rules & Safety & Comfort Protocols form.
• They will also assist you with the writing of your emergency contact name & contact number on your wristband.
• You will be given a wristband colour based on your willingness to be photographed by our team with or without your face, or not at all.
• Phone cameras will be covered by stickers. No private photography/videography allowed, out of respect for other attendees.

General Safety:
• Safety & Comfort Team Members will be scattered throughout the venue, including roving the dancefloor, at the stage area, at the bar, and at the Bodacious Booths. They will be clearly identifiable & pointed out on the night. Head to them with any safety or comfort concerns.
• The universal hand signal for ‘help’ will be clearly visible on all S&C Protocols posters.
• Audiences encouraged to ‘see something, say something’ by either:
– Approaching a S&C team member with their concern
– Raising their hand straight up, standing still, and repeating the universal hand signal for ‘help’. Encourage others around you to do the same.
– If you see the hand signal go up and you are close by (within 5 people), raise your hand and repeat the hand signal so that the S&C team can easily locate the person/s in need.

Incident Process:
• Any allegations of misconduct or breach of the House Rules will be treated with absolute priority. We will default to believing & supporting the alleged victim within the venue.
• The alleged victim will be taken backstage to a private staff-only area immediately and supported with whatever they feel they need.
• If there is no clear evidence of a crime, the alleged perpetrator will be immediately removed from the venue, their information already captured, and they will be blacklisted, we will also provide the victim with that individual’s details, so that they may pursue further action should they choose.
• If there is clear, arrestable evidence of a crime, the police will be called and the alleged perpetrator will be held (where safe & possible) until the police arrive. Again, we will also provide the victim with that individual’s details, so that they may pursue further action should they choose.
