Watershed: Crafting Acoustic Rock Anthems for 25 Years
Embodying the essence of South African rock, Watershed has journeyed from local acclaim to international recognition with their unmistakable sound and captivating performances. Since hitting the music scene with hits like ‘Indigo Girl’ and ‘Letters’, Watershed has become synonymous with acoustic rock excellence.

Led by the intensely moving vocals and songwriting of Craig Hinds, Watershed’s melodic guitar riffs and captivating lyrics have garnered them a legion of loyal fans worldwide. Their fifth studio album, highlighted by the popular track ‘Watch the Rain’, solidified their reputation as a band that doesn’t just perform but creates an unforgettable live experience. With a diverse repertoire, Watershed seamlessly transitions from acoustic guitars to pianos and ukuleles, ensuring each performance is a dynamic journey through their musical evolution.

Their success extends beyond the borders of their homeland, with Watershed making waves at prestigious events like the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas, and Canadian Music Week. Their music found a particularly warm reception in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, thanks to a serendipitous encounter with a vacationing radio DJ who stumbled upon ‘Indigo Girl’, sparking a wildfire of enthusiasm among European listeners.

With numerous accolades to their name, Watershed remains committed to their craft, embodying the spirit of perseverance and evolution. Beyond their musical prowess, Watershed has been recognized with multiple nominations at the South African Music Awards (SAMA), cementing their status as one of the country’s premier musical acts. Additionally, they’ve received accolades such as South Africa’s Hottest Band by People Magazine and the People Crystal Award for Best Band.

As Watershed celebrates 25 years of musical excellence, they show no signs of slowing down. Their journey continues, fueled by a passion for their craft and an unwavering dedication to captivating audiences with their timeless melodies and electrifying performances.
