About Autumn Symphonies at the City Hall

Programme:
– Debussy: Prelude à l’après-midi d’un faune
– Shostakovich: Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major, Op.107
– Dvořák: Symphony no. 6 in D Major, Op.60

Peter Martens, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s principal cello, will perform the 1st Cello Concerto in the final concert of the CPO’s Autumn Symphony Season at the City Hall. Arjan Tien, revered conducting teacher as well as conductor, will present his interpretation of the 6th Symphony by Dvořák. The CPYO is generously supported by the City of Cape Town.
