You are warmly invited to join us for Inyathelo’s World NGO Day Celebration on Friday, 27 February, as we mark this global day dedicated to recognising and celebrating the work of non-profit organisations and the people behind them.
World NGO Day, officially recognised in 2012, is a day to celebrate the vital contribution of NGOs to society, to shine a light on their impact, and to acknowledge the role civil society plays locally, nationally, and globally. Around the world, organisations use this day to share stories, reflect on achievements, and affirm the value of collective action for the public good.
Inyathelo’s World NGO Day will focus squarely on celebrating civil society’s resilience, creativity, and commitment in the face of ongoing challenges.
What to expect:
– A welcoming gathering of civil society leaders, partners, and supporters
– An opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate together
– Light refreshments will be served
On the day, Inyathelo will showcase its targeted resources developed to support and strengthen the sector at our Civil Society Hub in Woodstock, including:
– The Book Lounge and publications
– FundingFinder
– Office, meeting, and event spaces
– Training offerings under the Advancement Framework
We are pleased to confirm that the Department of Social Development’s NPO Helpdesk will be available to assist organisations with compliance status checks, updates to organisational details, and guidance on required submissions.
We look forward to celebrating World NGO Day with you and acknowledging the important work you do.
