Suits & Sneakers hosts several events each month in Cape Town, each featuring a different guest and theme. The idea is to create a space for ongoing learning that helps you broaden your thinking in a fast changing world. This event will be hosted on the evening of Wednesday, 25 February, at The Tryst in Woodstock.
WHAT IS THIS EVENT ALL ABOUT?
You could do all the right things and still not get where you want to go. We have been told that small changes, repeated daily, will inevitably compound into results. While that is often true, it fails to account for the moments when the game itself changes. What happens when the board is flipped over entirely, and the very things you have spent years learning become the things holding you back?
Some destinations require accumulation. This is the patient work of showing up, day after day, until the tipping point arrives. However, other destinations can never be reached through consistency alone. No amount of accumulation gets you there because they require a completely different type of action. They require Power Moves.
The challenge is knowing which situation you are in and having the honesty to admit when the moment demands something other than more discipline. This talk explores the relationship between continuous change and discontinuous change. We are going to unpack why the people who truly break through are the ones who know when to compound and when to do something else entirely.
On 25 February, Erik Kruger will help us identify the “Compounding Trap” and share a framework for identifying the Power Moves that account for a world of uncertainty. This is a session for leaders and entrepreneurs who are tired of doing more of the same and are ready to understand the mechanics of a true breakthrough.
